About ReadA3
ReadA3 is an interest-led reading programme for Primary 1–6 children. We turn the topics a child already cares about into personalized reading pages matched to their reading confidence, language needs and attention span.
The problem we are trying to solve
Many children can read, but do not choose to read voluntarily. The barrier is not always ability. Sometimes the topic feels irrelevant, the page feels too dense, the language feels too difficult, or a screen offers an easier reward.
ReadA3 starts from a different question: what would make this child willing to open the page? We use interests, age-appropriate difficulty, bilingual support and clearer layouts to make reading easier to begin.
Who ReadA3 is for
- Children who can read but rarely choose to: start with subjects they already love.
- Children who reach for screens first: turn digital interests into focused reading on paper.
- Children who avoid Chinese or English: use familiar ideas and level-matched bilingual support.
- Curious children: feed questions with science, current affairs, history and real-world explanations.
- Children overwhelmed by crowded pages: use clearer visual hierarchy, shorter blocks and lower-friction layouts.
What ReadA3 is—and is not
ReadA3 can include news, short stories, facts, games, comics, vocabulary support and discussion prompts. The goal is to build reading momentum, curiosity and a repeatable reading habit. It is not presented as a replacement for school instruction, phonics teaching or specialist literacy support.
Why paper still matters
We use technology to prepare better-matched material, then give children something they can read, circle, fold, keep and discuss away from another screen. Digital access and PDFs make delivery convenient; the reading experience can remain physical and focused.
Designed for Primary 1–6
ReadA3 is currently positioned for Primary 1–6 families, approximately ages 6–12. Content can be adjusted from shorter, more visual early-primary reading to longer articles, current affairs and deeper reasoning for upper primary.
